Over the past 5 or more years, the demand for hemp products, especially ones that contain CBD, has exploded in the United States, and in various other parts of the world.  Here in the United States this trend was put into overdrive in 2018 when congress passed the Farm Bill, which effectively legalized CBD by making it legal to grow, harvest, and use hemp plants.

The uses and benefits that hemp can provide seem to be vast, to say the least.   It can be used for a wide variety of everyday things, like fabric, building materials, biofuels, health foods, and much more.  Many studies indicate that CBD, which is extracted from hemp, has a range of health benefits and can be used to treat things like inflammation, joint pain, depression, and anxiety, just to name a few.  According to Shelley Durocher, a hemp researcher at UConn, hemp plants, otherwise known as cannabis or marijuana, have been used for human benefit longer than pretty much any other plant, approximately 12,000 years.
